TrackTik vs Silvertrac

This is no longer a comparison between two competing vendors. Trackforce has owned Silvertrac since 2020 and TrackTik since 2022, and in 2026 it put its products under the single Trackforce brand. For a Silvertrac customer the real question is whether to stay on Silvertrac, move up to TrackTik, or look outside Trackforce. Everything below comes from trackforce.com and the companies' own press releases.

What changed in 2026

Trackforce, then called Trackforce Valiant, announced the acquisition of Silvertrac Software in January 2020 and of TrackTik in June 2022. For several years both products kept their own brands and websites.

In 2026 Trackforce unified them. Its announcement reads: "TrackTik, GuardTek and Silvertrac are now united under one brand, Trackforce." As of 30 September 2026, silvertracsoftware.com redirects to trackforce.com, and the old Silvertrac pricing URL lands on the TrackTik quote page.

For existing customers, Trackforce states that nothing has to be migrated or reinstalled, that current agreements stand, and that any change to branding or product names will happen behind the scenes with advance notice. It also says there is now "one roadmap" across its platforms.

Silvertrac is still sold as a product in its own right on trackforce.com. What public pages do not say is how long the two products will stay separate, or whether a Silvertrac renewal will eventually become a TrackTik quote. Ask your account team, in writing, before you renew.

Caveats
  • No price figures published: a quote request and a walkthrough are the route to a number
  • A much larger product surface than a small patrol operation needs
  • Moving from Silvertrac to TrackTik is a change of product; Trackforce lists implementation and data migration as services, so budget time for them
  • Same owner as Silvertrac: switching between the two does not reduce your dependence on one vendor

Best for small security companies that want simple guard tours and reporting, and are happy with their current setup

Strengths
  • Nothing to migrate: Trackforce says existing environments keep running and agreements stand
  • Unlimited checkpoints, each with step-by-step instructions; GPS and geofencing with off-course alerts
  • Automated Daily Activity Reports, incident reports with photo, audio and text, and a client portal
  • Dispatch tasks by location or officer, an in-app message board, shift pass-down and parking management
  • No contracts and monthly payments, with a personal success manager, per the Silvertrac page
Caveats
  • No price figures on the Silvertrac page, and the old Silvertrac pricing URL now redirects to the TrackTik quote page
  • Product decisions now sit on a shared Trackforce roadmap, and product names may change
  • SOC 2 and ISO 27001 are stated at Trackforce level — confirm the attestation covers the Silvertrac environment if procurement requires it
  • Offline operation is not described on the Silvertrac product page — ask if your sites lose signal
  • Narrower than TrackTik: no payroll, billing or scheduling modules are listed on the Silvertrac page

Trackforce says there is nothing to migrate and your agreement stands. Get the renewal terms and the product's future in writing, and revisit at renewal.

Those modules are on the TrackTik product page, not on Silvertrac's. It is the same vendor, so the commercial relationship carries over.

Procurement asks for SOC 2 Type II or ISO 27001

Both are listed on the TrackTik product page. For Silvertrac, confirm that the Trackforce attestation covers that product specifically.
